Elizabeth “Liz” Francisco is a freelance writer and editor who, intermittently, has been putting her skills to use at Go Weekly. Her writing trajectory goes all the way back to 2012, when she first covered Curaçao Fashion Week. She went on to interview countless interesting local and international based individuals for the magazine’s weekly covers.
She’s an award winning short filmmaker, fur mom to 4 doggies and a creative producer. In a past life, she has also worked as a university lecturer, journalist and anthropologist for several years.
Aside from working in the media, Liz has also been working with numerous clients for the last decade. She provides copy editing, business writing, ghost writing, web copy, travel stories, advertorials and SEO articles for businesses that want to see their Google search rankings go up. Her writing can be seen on a number of websites and e-commerce platforms. Still, when it comes to writing, her true passion lies in screenwriting.
It’s not for nothing she majored in social and cultural anthropology; she enjoys meeting new people and having her mind blown during her travels. To be honest, it’s when she does some of her best writing. Whether it’s sitting in a café on the Côte d’Azur, riding the train between the villages in Cinque Terre, on assignment at an L.A. film studio, glamping on the Nile River, sitting out front a cabin in Kruger National Park or eating mixed-berries pancakes in Prospect heights, Brooklyn, Liz always finds herself inspired by the new and quirky.
Her educational background has given her a broad base to approach many topics. In addition, she was never able to shed the sense of adventure that’s been ingrained in her ever since came into this world. In truth, this is what makes her writing captivating and entertaining.
